“Durmitor Hotel and Villas” will bring prestige to Žabljak

Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Mr Duško Marković, has visited Žabljak and said that this town “will get prestigious amenities of the highest category when “Durmitor Hotel and Villas” is finished”.

Mr Marković pointed out that he was very satisfied with the construction site where he laid the foundation stone on 23 October together with Mr Petros Stathis.

Mr Marković said at the end of his working visit to the Municipality of Žabljak that the Government and local management had delivered their promises and that results were visible in Žabljak.

“With synergy and togetherness, we have managed to transform Žabljak in the infrastructure context. That’s visible to the naked eye”, Mr Marković said.

PM started his working visit with the meeting with the president of the municipality, Mr Veselin Vukićević. They carefully analyzed completed projects and projects that are underway.

“A lot of money has been invested in Žabljak and realization of its development vision”, PM said.

PM visited works on “Durmitor Hotel and Villas”- project worth €19,5 million. The future five-star hotel is expected to have 68 accommodation units with 168 beds. The new hotel is supposed to create 104 new jobs.

PM also visited construction site of the public garage and its extension.

Mr Markoivć announced investments in ski center, reconstruction of the existing and establishment of the new ropeway.

“Now that we are in Savin kuk, I would like to inform residents of Žabljak that the Government has adopted Draft amendments to Spatial plan for special purposes for Durmitor region in which we have foreseen revitalization of the old ropeway and establishment of new one. We presented that Draft to UNESCO and we are waiting for the reply. I believe we will finish this project next year and bring some new value to Žabljak”, PM said.

Mr Markovićlso announced resumption of works on other development projects.

Mr Marković was accompanied by director of the Public Works Administration, Mr Rešad Nuhodžić.
