E-fiscalization can rely on offered internet speeds

The internet connection speed in Montenegro can meet the needs of the announced e-fiscalization the taxpayers are going to conduct, the Agency for Electronic Media, EKIP, told Pobjeda daily.

During the public debate on draft law on e-fiscalization and planned program of e-fiscalization, some participants, especially those coming from the Association of Employers, expressed their concern over the fact our country lacks the high-speed internet. The Association claims the whole system is going to be overburdened and the question is whether the country will be able to deal with it, having in mind slow internet speeds.

The EKIP then reacted: “Based on the informal data the Agency obtained, we can assure you that the mobile/cellular operators in Montenegro are offering the internet speeds fully meeting the requirements of the electronic fiscalization.”

The interned speed, they added, heavily depends on devices a user has.
