The tunnel (460 m) between Cekanje and Bukovice, on the route from Cetinje to Njegusi, has been broken through today.
Mayor of Cetinje Aleksandar Bogdanovic and director of Directorate for Traffic Savo Paraca attended the last works.
Bogdanovic said that traffic reconstruction in Cetinje is currently one of the biggest projects in Montenegro.
“Reconstruction of this road will ensure a more dynamic development of Njegusi, valorization of agricultural resources of Katunska nahija, and conditions for development of new values and businesses”, he said.
Savo Paraca said that the works on the road to Lovcen should begin in September.
The value of the project of reconstruction of Cetinje – Njegusi road is €9.6 million, and Niksic company Mehanizacija i programat is in charge of the construction.
