Owners of small hydro power plants have been paid €1,7 million from the beginning of the year until the end of May, on the basis of renewable energy resources, said the representatives of Montenegrin Electricity Market Operator.
According to the available data, in the first five months of 2019, Hidroeenrgija Montenegro company from Berane has had the highest profit. It was paid €740.056 for tariffs through the account.
Small hydro power plant Bistrica has produced the most amount of electricity.
Hidrobistrica, a company from Podgorica, was paid €195.550.
Igma Energy was paid a fee in the amount of €171.535. Nord Energy company generated €91.285 of revenues for the electricity produced in Šeremt hydro power plant.
Sinergy had made the lowest profit, €79.625.
Fee for renewable energy resources was abolished on 1 June. As a result, electricity bills will be by 1,5-5% lower.
