Employees of the Internal Control Department within the National Police have completed 41 controls, i.e. they were questioning whether the police officers took illegal actions while performing their duties. Controls were performed based on the operative and other received information on possible irregularities or illegal actions in work of police officers. After their completion, it was concluded that there were 17 cases with significant irregularities, Dan has written.
Files of police, which include 8 police officers, have been submitted to the prosecutor’s office. This authority is to assess whether there were elements of a criminal offence in performance of their duties.
