Elections in Podgorica to be scheduled for 27 May

Elections in Podgorica will be held on 27 May, CdM learns unofficially.

Despite the fact that elections in 12 municipalities are to be held in the upcoming period, the elections in Podgorica are the most important, as they will show the strength of all political entities.

The parties have already begun preparations for these elections. Both the ruling parties and the opposition are aware of the importance of the elections. Both sides are also convinced that they will win.

There are speculations on the candidates for the mayor of the City of Podgorica. Potential DPS candidates include current mayor Slavoljub Stijepovic, then one of his deputies, Caslav Vesovic, former minister of agriculture Petar Ivanovic and current director of the Tax Administration Miomir M. Mugosa.

Branka Bosnjak and Slaven Radunovic are being mentioned as DF candidates for this post.

Those who do not belong to the political scene have also been mentioned, including the most successful businessmen in the country Dragan Bokan, as well as football legend Dejan Savicevic.
