Employees in quarantine are entitled to full salary

Employees in quarantine and isolation are entitled to 70 or 100% of their regular salary, said yesterday representatives of the Administration for Inspection Affairs.

They said that a company shall pay full salary if the employee hasn’t been forbidden to work. If the employer is not performing activities, he/she shall pay 70% of the salary to the employee.

In case employer is not performing activities die to the ban imposed by the competent authority, then all employees are in the same regime without employer’s fault and therefore persons in self-isolation are entitled to 70% of their salary for the previous semester.

President of the Court council claims that 100% salary should be paid

Mrs Vesna Simović-Zvicer, president of the Court council, says that an employee in isolation should be provided with 100% compensation.

Law on Mandatory Health Insurance stipulates that salary during temporary suspension of working activity should be provided to the insured person in the amount of 100% , in case of quarantine diseases among other things.
