Enlargement policy to be high in the agenda of the new European administration

President of Montenegro, Mr Milo Đukanović and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Mr Miroslav Lajčák, said that it would be essential for the EU and the region that the enlargement policy is placed high in the agenda of the new European administration.

At the end of the first day of the GLOBSEC Security Forum in Bratislava , Mr Đukanović spoke to the President of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Mr Miroslav Lajčák during the working dinner organized in his honor.

Mr Lajčák thanked Mr Đukanović for taking part in this prestigious gathering while expressing satisfaction with the fact that Bratislava is going to host the Panel on WB.

Mr Đukanović said it was another proof of the friendly commitment of the Slovak Republic to the European perspective of Montenegro and the entire region, which is further emphasized through the role of OSCE chairmanship.

“They have expressed mutual satisfaction with the results of pro-European forces”, reads the statement.

Mr Đukanović and Mr Lajčák exchanged their views on the trends in the region, whole putting the emphasis on the open questions. They also spoke about the processes in Europe and expressed their readiness for the improvement of already excellent bilateral cooperation.
