EUR 850,000 invested in 24 schools across Montenegro

The Ministry of Education has been continuously working on improving conditions in Montenegrin schools, and only during the winter holiday, which will last until 27 January, they invested €850,000 in the infrastructure of 24 schools across the country, said secretary of this Ministry, Mr Omer Mehmedović.

Apart from the construction works referring to new schools in Montenegro, the reconstruction works are underway in the existing schools as well, Mr Mehmedović told Dnevne Novine daily.

“As there are nearly 600 educational facilities in Montenegro, it is quite clear how much investment is needed to maintain this infrastructure, especially in winter. Of course, we are always trying to allocate the budget in the most favorable way. And we can do this only by clearly setting priorities,” he noted.

During winter, he emphasized, there’s the greatest need for emergency interventions.
