EXIT to draw record-breaking number of visitors from the region

This year’s EXIT, being one of the greatest festivals in the region, is going to exceed all the expectations considering almost all parameters. The number of visitors from former Yugoslavia will be record-breaking, and it should be mentioned that EXIT was the place where they first gathered after the war conflicts in the 1990s.

Apart from Croatia and its record high number of EXIT guests (5,000), Montenegro will also send somewhat higher number of EXIT visitors, followed by those from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. The Petrovaradin Fortress will be promoted through the world as the Peace Fortress, thanks to the artistic landmark of Yoko Ono, the legendary multimedia artist and peace activist.

Founder of EXIT, Dušan Kovačević, says the festivals in the region and exchange of experience among people from all parts of former Yugoslavia brought him experience that some generations could just dream about.

“It’s hard to explain how we were isolated in times before EXIT. It was as if someone had done something against the nature, against all the people on this territory because we were forbidden to hang out with people who spoke the same language as we did, who listened to the same music and had same dreams,” Kovačević explained.

EXIT Festival will be held from 4 to 7 July 2019 at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, while the always diverse line-up will include The Cure, Greta Van Fleet, Carl Cox, Skepta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DJ Snake, Desiigner, Lost Frequencies, IAMDDB, Sofi Tukker, Solomun, Tale of Us, Tom Walker, Maceo Plex, Charlotte De Witte, Boris Brejcha, Peggy Gou, Jeff Mills, Amelie Lens, Dax J, Phil Anselmo & The Illegals, Tarja Turunen, 65daysofstatic, The Selecter, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, Whitechapel, Atheist Rap, Arcturus, Total Chaos and many more to come soon.
