Fabris: Economy will grow by around 3%

The real economic growth rate in Montenegro should be around 3% this year, given the achieved level of economic activity, the application of fiscal consolidation measures and the high base of last year’s gross investments, says the Central Bank vice-governor, Nikola Fabris in an interview with Mina Business news agency.

According to him, the key sectors that will generate economic growth will be construction, tourism, energy, and partly mining and agriculture, especially through the food imports substitution.

“It’s important to emphasise that the intensive works on the highway construction and its multiple positive effects will reflect in the GDP growth,” Fabris said.
