First-graders of elementary schools from Herceg Novi, Tivat, Bar, Mojkovac, Kotor, Niksic, Danilovgrad, Bijelo Polje and Podogrica will get free textbooks. Municipalities of Budva and Berane have gone a step further and provided free textbooks for all elementary school pupils from the first to the ninth grade, Dnevne Novine writes.
“The Ministry of Education has provided free textbooks in the 2017/2018 school year for children without parental care, whose parents or guardians are beneficiaries of social welfare, as well as for children with special educational needs living in institutions for social and child protection and fostering families,” the Ministry said.
The Ministry of Human and Minority Rights has provided textbooks for children belonging to the Roma and Egyptian populations attending the first three grades.
