Positive production and financial results of the Coal Mine were recorded last year, and significant number of factors influenced such an outcome. The next year will be marked by investments. We’ll keep implementing all the measures and activities in the area of the environment, while striving to preserve the image of a socially responsible company, said Slavoljub Popadić, the CEO of the Coal Mine.
“We’re following closely what’s happening on the European and world scene regarding the use of fossil fuels and we’re analyzing the possibilities of alternative businesses. Widening the assortment of the coal offer is our operation focus now. With the implementation of the optimization measures in the business, which are already being fruitful, future of the Coal Mine should be stable and unquestionable. Merging with the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro (EPCG) will additionally stabilize the Coalmine”, said Popadić.
He added that creation of new jobs was also a very important part of the whole business and it’s always in the focus.
