The Commander of NATO Combined Air Operations Centre Torrejon, Lieutenant General Ruben C. Garcia Servert, is satisfied with the current situation and capacities of the Air Force, as well as the implementation of the NATO integrated air defence system. Lieutenant General Garcia Servert is visiting the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Montenegro (VCG).
As announced by the Ministry of Defence, Garcia Servert met the Chief of the General Staff of VCG, Brigadier General Ilija Dakovic at the military airport in Golubovci. On that occasion, Dakovic expressed his satisfaction with the visit.
Dakovic thanked for the support given by the Alliance to Montenegro in the process of full NATO integration, as well as the development of the capacity and capabilities of the VCG Air Force.
The Ministry emphasises that the visit of the commander is of exceptional importance, as Montenegro will perform command and control within the Air Policing Mission in cooperation with the NATO Combined Air Operations Centre Torrejon, as well as the airspace control and monitoring centres located in Italy and Greece.
