Theocratic-Tycoon government

These are the words Mr Nebojša Medojević used to describe the staff selections of Mr Zdravko Krivokapić. But let’s start from scratch and see if there’s any logic in what Mr Medojević is saying:

Ms Tamara Srzentić – Ministry of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media – name unknown to the public so far. We suppose she is the deputy director of the Office for Innovation in California Health and Human Services. Ms Tamara, who proudly claims to be from Cetinje.

Mr Ratko Mitrović – Ministry of Ecology and Urbanism. The man from the fresco in the Temple of Christ’s Resurrection in Podgorica. Mr Mitrović is close to the church and is member of the committee for the construction of the temple. He works as a Professor at the University of Montenegro.

Mr Nikola Terzić – Ministry of Interior. Lawyer close to URA, engaged in companies owned by URA functionaries.

Mr Đorđe Radulović – Ministry of Foreign Affairs– A younger diplomat from the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who has been recently promoted to the Director of the EU Directorate. He is said to be close to the church too.

Mr Jakov Milatović – Ministry of Economic Development. The only thing we know about this young economist is that he graduated at Oxford.

Mr Mladen Bojanić- Ministry of Capital Investments. Functionary of the former Positive Montenegro and a broker. Also known as inglorious candidate of the opposition on presidential elections in 2018.

Mr Aleksandar Stijović- Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management. A pretty laundry list of his expert and scientific papers on forestry can be found on the Internet.

Ms Vesna Bratić – Ministry of Culture, Education, Science and Sport. President of the NGO ‘Ne damo Crnu Goru’ and associate professor at the Faculty of Philology in Nikšić.

Dr Jelena Borovinić-Bojović- Ministry of Health. Dr Borovinić-Bojović is the head of the Pulmonary Clinic in the Clinical Center of Montenegro. She has been criticized for attending the funeral of the Metropolitan Amfilohije and for allowing infected patients to walk freely around the hospital.

Mr Milojko Spajić – Ministry of Finance. He was promoted as expert in nationalist media, such as IN4S. In Asia, where he studied, he took part in conferences as expert for crypto currencies. He was active in Serbian associations and is believed to be close to the church.

Mr Vladimir Leposavić- Ministry of Justice and Minority Rights. Mr Leposavić legal adviser to SOC. He is known for criticizing NATO.

Function of the Ministry of Defense has been offered to Mr Dritan Abazović. If he rejects or MPs find that proposal unacceptable, Mr Krsto Perović will be the reserve variant.

Reactions to the list

Free Europe Radio has characterized this list for being close to SOC.

DF has harshly criticized the list, while Real Montenegro has stated that it is unacceptable to them that a politician be part of the government.

Mr Vladimir Pavićević, member of the ‘Peace is our nation’ list, said on his Twitter account that “it looks like prime minister-designate doesn’t want this list to be accepted”.

Famous opposition and ecological activist, Mr Aleksandar Dragićević, posted on Facebook that Mr Ratko Mitrović “was engaged in the construction of small hydro power plants”.

Petition against merging department of science, education, culture and sport has been initiated.

Sacrilege of the monuments of the National Liberation Fight

After the sacrilege of the monument of Moše Pijada, several other monuments of the NLF have been damaged too, probably as a consequence of the campaign aimed at rewriting the history and the role of the Chetnik movement.

That’s all for today. Enjoy the weekend. Until Monday.
