Government or Đekna

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed the interesting meme page ‘Vala, Ljeposava’, which comments on the Montenegrin everyday life in a humorous way. The whole process of forming the government reminds of the waiting for Đekna’s rest, which somehow never happens, nor does anyone know when it’s going to happen. There are real objective circumstances, such as the illness of some MPs, but the bigger problem seems to be the non-acceptance of this composition of the government by a negligible part of the majority.

Dissonant tones

Apart from Mr Medojević, who comments on the current political situation several times a day, the process of forming the government has not been completed for the SNP either. In addition, the last chances for the participation of the only ethnic minority party in a new govt are lost. The Albanian coalition led by Mr Nimanbegu and Mr Đeljošaj will not be part of the government. Now it’s final.

Meanwhile, Mr Mandić and Mr Knežević reacted from Belgrade to confirm that resilience to such a governement within the new pariamentary majority has been broader than the Democraric Front itself, as some wanted to present. Mr Knežević’s claim that the new govt composition is not acceptable for the Democrats can be read in a comment of Mr Vladimir Pavićević. They [Democrats] are still silent on Prime Minister-designate’s proposal.

Supporters of Prime Minister-designate

The only ones still committed to the Prime Minister-designate are church, Mr Milačić, the Civic URA Movement and future ministers, and they have already met, carrying their laptops in a café to make plans to save MNE economy.

Such frivolity stirs great uncertainty in people, which grows with the pandemic situation getting worse.

Incident in the town of Budva

Read about the reaction of Budva activist, Ms Darinka Daja Ljubiša, who was attacked by the mayor’s entourage during the wreath-laying ceremony on the plaque to “Serbian liberators” in front of the Old Town.

That’s all for today. Until tomorrow.
