Highway, Queen’s Beach and Mamula are government’s priorities

The Bar – Boljare highway, the submarine cable connecting Montenegro and Italy, Portonovi, Lustica Bay and Plavi Horizonti, Queen’s Beach hotel, valorising Bjelasica and Komovi, and renewable energy sources are among 23 priority development projects for Montenegro’s government.

The government has divided the country’s main development projects into six areas, starting with transport, for which the only focus is the Bar – Boljare highway and monitoring all steps towards its completion.

In the field of energy, the priorities include the submarine power cable connecting Montenegro and Italy, a thermal power complex, as well as renewable energy sources of large and small hydropower plants, wind farms and solar power plants.

The priorities in the field of tourism are valorisation of Bjelasica, Komovi, and Durmitor, the construction of the Portonovi complex in Kumbor, Lustica Bay and Blue Horizons in Tivat, then the complex, marina and infrastructure in Porto Montenegro resort in Tivat, reconstruction of the Mamula fortress on the Island of Lastavica, construction of the Queen’s Beach hotel on Sveti Stefan and other projects that will be monitored by the state tender committee.
