Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Mr Osman Nurković, met with the head of the IMF mission in Montenegro, Mr Srikant Seshadri and collaborators within the regular annual IMF visit.
Representatives of IMF expressed their interest in the status of the realization of capital infrastructure projects within the competence of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs, with special emphasis on Bar-Boljare highway and Airports of Montenegro concession arrangement.
Minister acquainted IMF representatives with the details in relation to the realization of Smokovac-Meteševo section. He also talked about the plans for the realization of other sections, as well as fundamental objectives of the concession arrangement.
Mr Seshadri said that IMF would endeavor to improve the preparation activities related to the realization of strategic infrastructure projects.
“Bar-Boljare highway is our most important project. Our portfolio contains many other important projects whose implementation requires expert IMF assistance. Cooperation between IMF and the Ministry is very stable and I believe we can enhance it”, said Minister Nurković.
