Defense Minister Olivera Injac did not want to answer what the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and MP Marko Milacic were doing in the PM Zdravko Krivokapic’s office on the night between 4 and 5 September, i.e. on the eve of the enthronement of Metropolitan Joanikije. She said that that night was quite difficult.

“I would not comment on that… As a member of the National Security Council I was there.

The night was difficult, we had to create conditions for constitutional and legal solutions to be implemented on the territory of the whole of Montenegro… There is a rumor about that night… Decisions were made in a completely different format, with people who are part of the National Security Council, members of the security sector”, said Injac in Vijesti TV’s Nacisto talk-show.

She added that the military intelligence service did not have the authority to deal with those topics.

She denied that after the events in Cetinje on 4 and 5 September she invited the acting two assistant directors of the Police Directorate, Milos Rakonjac and Dragan Gorovic, as well as the head of the Podgorica Security Center, Goran Jokovic, to come to a meeting with PM Krivokapic in order to discuss on the dismissal of the head of the Police Directorate Zoran Brdjanin.

Speaking about the statement of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar that at the last NATO summit, although informally, fears were expressed that it was dangerous to share all information with the new Government, she said that these were possible concerns related to the entire Western Balkans region and certain states.

When asked whether she recognized Russian influence in Montenegro, she answered in the affirmative.

Asked if she supported the Government reshuffle, she said she was asked the question as if she were a politician.

“I am thinking about the political situation in Montenegro as an intellectual. A lot of dialogue and tolerance is missing here. I can’t talk about Government reshuffle when I’m not involved in it, but I’m sure there must be a dialogue”, Injac said.
