There is nothing surprising in Joanikije’s glorification of the war criminal Pavle Djurisic and his butchers. Have they ever spoken differently in the SPC? Have they had different views? Did Amfilohije maybe promote NOB?
The real scandal is the public pretending to be shocked and disturbed by Joanikije’s statements. What’s wrong? You are shocked because he said what he meant and you all know very well that he really means it? You are shocked because he said what he always says, and what his predecessor was telling. And, you didn’t know that the SPC, by supporting the Chetniks, supports fascism that the Chetniks fought for? You didn’t know that
“In 1995, the Serbian Orthodox Church lost a case in Paris, after filing a lawsuit against the newspapers Libération, Le Monde, Le Figaro because of articles in which it was accused of supporting ethnic cleansing and the crime of genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, as religious historian, Mirko Djordjevic, wrote in the book ‘Patriarch Pavle’s Umbrella’ that you can buy in Belgrade.
The SPC was always against Draza and Pavle, against Ratko and Radovan, against Greater Serbia. They never even thought, let alone talked about, that there was no genocide in Srebrenica – so what happened with them now?
Hypocrisy, which is, unfortunately, a general principle in Montenegro, is nowhere as clearly visible as in the relationship with the SPC. Some lie that it is not the SPC but the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral; others, like Misko Perovic and the stars of the grant, a good part of whom are now busy defending Velika Plaza, thought that the SPC had “emancipatory potential”, so they were external supporters of religious processions hoping the SPC would take over and finally emancipate this society. Others, like URA, brought fascism to power; their Dritan pelted us with tear gas and rubber bullets in order to forcibly and shamefully secure the inauguration of Joanikije in Cetinje. Dritan and his party donated the entire sacred heritage of Montenegro to the Serbian Orthodox Church. And our falcon from Ulcinj also gave them some land to build a hotel: the closest area to the sea in Valdanos. And now they are wondering: is it possible that the SPC is doing this?
I wouldn’t want to bother while someone pretends to be crazy and washes his CV of the shit he sprinkled himself with – I beg your pardon but when did the SPC act differently? The legendary URA says: the man who named himself after Joanikije Lipovac should refrain from promoting the fascist collaborator Joanikije Lipovac. I wonder, how can you…
However, the best are enthusiasts listing numerous crimes Djurisic committed. To inform Joanikije and the public about it. My God: Joanikije does not glorify Pavle because he does not know that Pavle carried out a massacre, but precisely because he knows very well what Pavle had done.
But people in Montenegro do not mind the support of the SPC to the fascists. They lie to themselves that it is not a Serbian, but an Orthodox church. Yeah, they are Buddhists out there. It is impossible to draw an equal sign between Svetosavlje and Orthodoxy. Svetosavlje is formally a religion, essentially an ideology – a blatant example of ethnophiletistic heresy. Extreme right-wing ideology. The SPC is for the Serbian world what the JNA was for Greater Serbia: the basic means of cross-border influence of the large-state project. Montenegrins who are baptized, married and buried by the SPC clearly do not mind that the SPC insists that they – Montenegrins – do not exist. Pride is not an app so you can install it just like that. What can a man do: wait a little longer for the pope from Bosnia to explain to you that your father and grandfather were not Montenegrins, neither are you, nor is your son. All good things come to those who wait. The only thing that matters is that your neighbors don’t get angry about you and that people do not say you know nothing about.
It is a complete lie that today’s Montenegro rests on the values of anti-fascism. Stop lying to yourself and others. The most influential institution in this country is not SUBNOR or AFŽ, but SPC. And according to them, fascists – Chetniks – are the only real anti-fascists. Today’s Montenegro was not shaped by pioneer landings, but by religious processions.
And then Gojko Perovic, who is in charge of fooling the people on behalf of the SPC, appeared in public, enjoying the unlimited support of ‘Vijesti’. https://www.cdm.me/politika/gojko-perovic-brani-joanikija-tvrdi-da-mediji-prenose-dvosmislene-stvari-a-dobre-zaobilaze/
Of course, he did not criticize Joanikije’s glorification of Djurisic. He used the old strategy of American racists who say; no, I also have black friends. Perovic particularly stressed he had Muslim friends. He emphasized that, although they glorify Djurisic who massacred Muslims, they sometimes visit Muslims. And guess what: they don’t slaughter them. Yaaay! Which should be undeniably praised.
Perovic then lashed out at the media that emphasize only the negative side and do not underline good examples. It’s true: the media have now caught on to the fact that the villain Djurisic was, as Joanikije said, “a great hero with an invincible character.” I know exactly what he’s talking about. Like they blame Hitler for the Holocaust to this day, while failing to reflect on his gentle sides: that he was a vegetarian, that he forbade smoking, that he loved to paint and that he passed strict and fair laws concerning the protection of animals.
Let Gośa believe his own lies.
