Montenegro reports 146 new Covid-19 cases, 3 more deaths and 199 recoveries

Another 146 cases of coronavirus were recorded in Montenegro today. Labs of the Public Health Institute have pulled 358 samples for PCR testing as of yesterday. The Institute as well as other labs that carry out the PCR testing detected 74 new infections, while a total of 182 analyses sent to Germany came back today, of which 72 were positive. A further three Covid-19 patients had died Saturday of the virus. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from Tivat, Bar and Rožaje. Meanwhile, 199 patients beat the virus. There are currently 4.428 active cases, i.e. 703 infections per 100K people.

New cases are from Podgorica 44, Bijelo Polje 8, Nikšić 5, Bar 5, Kolašin 4, Kotor 2, Mojkovac 2, Pljevlja 1, Rožaje 1, Cetinje 1 and Berane 1.
The total Covid-19 death toll in Montenegro from the beginning of June now stands at 222.

“Analysis of samples that were sent to Germany found 72 positive cases that were sampled on 12 and 13 October and will be registered as new infections as follows: 12 October -14, 13 October- 58”, the Institute stated.

Infections detected in Germany are from Podgorica – 60, Cetinje – 8 and Ulcinj – 4.

“The remaining part of samples sent to Germany – 212 of them – are expected until the end of the day and will be taken into account during the calculation of municipal rates of cumulative incidence,” they pointed out.
