Seismology sector of the Hydrometeorological and Seismological Service of Montenegro today around 8.29am registered a small earthquake in the vicinity of Plav.
A tremor measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale was registered, i.e. 5.0 on the Modified Mercalli Scale. The earthquake occurred at depth near the earth’s surface to 8 kilometers deep.
A 3.0 magnitude earthquake hit Montenegro on 17 January 2018 and its epicenter was located about 10 kilometers northwest of Plav. Another quake was also registered on 10 January with the epicenter located 8 kilometers west of Plav.
