Jovanović: Montenegro and Serbia are an example of tackling open questions

Čedomir Jovanović

Regional cooperation mustn’t only be a European condition, but also the solution to everyday problems of the citizens of the whole region. Montenegro and Serbia are a good example of tackling open questions, said in the interview for “Pobjeda”, Čedomir Jovnaović, President of the Liberal-Democratic Party. He points out that the Russian influence is spreading at great speed at that the consequences are yet to be felt.

“There are many examples which can serve as a proof of some bad steps taken in the regional cooperation. We must have strategy for the leadership, to focus on the entire region in a different way”, said Jovanović.

Jovanović also considered the issue of recognition of Kosovo. In that sense, he said that in Serbia it’s very hard to reconcile with the reality.

“Regarding Kosovo, our opposition has nationalistic and, I’d say, “old” opinions. The whole world has a different attitude about Kosovo, even the Russians”, says Jovanović.

He also points out that the conversation with the Albanians mustn’t stop.
