Kamo Śutra student group’s new protest tonight

The new protest, which the informal group of students Kamo Śutra (Where to Tomorrow) organized on the occasion of the Cetinje tragedy, will be held tonight in front of the building housing the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) in Podgorica.

The named group has announced that they will also demand the resignation of Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranovic and Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Aleksa Becic at tonight’s protest.

They have stated that they refused Prime Minister Milojko Spajic’s invitation to a meeting where they would discuss the demands from the protest held on 5 January 2025.

As announced, tonight’s protest will begin at 7:30 p.m. in front of the MUP, and half an hour later the protesters will walk to the Government building.

The group has emphasized that it is a peaceful and dignified protest and asked all citizens to refrain from any form of violence – verbal, physical, psychological. This also refers to the words/sentences that will be written on the banners, the group has stressed.

On 1 January 2025, Cetinje resident Aco Martinovic killed 13 people, including two children.
