In an interview for Pobjeda daily, the State Secretary of the Ministry Of Finance, Mila Kasalica, said she used to criticize the ‘Europe Now’ programme, which meant that around ten laws adopted within the budget should be applied, but emphasized it was a legitimate framework and the team of the Finance Minister, Aleksandar Damjanovic, now has to abide by it and respect it, as every other citizen, tax payer and a company in the country.
When it comes to the sustainability of the country’s public finances, Ms Kasalica underlines that it depends on every single individual, as well as the level of responsibility of all competent bodies, as both need to apply the adopted laws in a sustainable and useful manner.
As for the expectations, having in mind that her term of office continues in the new government, she notes: “I expect that we, as well as our teams, will be modest and efficient in a sustainable way, and I also expect a reduction in Twitter-public policies. It’s a social network representing a tool for accessing the public, not a public policy per se.”
