President of the Democratic People’s Party and one of the leaders of Democratic Front, Milan Knežević, said that the visit Dritan Abazović and Danilo Šaranović paid to Taiwan represents a first-class scandal whose aim is to provoke the world superpower – China.
“Abazović and Šaranović’s trip to Taiwan is a scandal which can worsen the relations with China. This tells us about their readiness to enter any kind of exhibitionism for the sake of others and to show off their international acrobatics”, said Knežević for “Pobjeda”.
As he says, after they recognized Kosovo as an independent state, leaders of Democrats and URA thought they could create some geopolitical relations by hoisting Montenegrin flag in front of the factory for the production of whiskey and energy drinks in Taiwan, and thus recognizing this country as independent.
“If they drank whiskey before this act, then we should have some degree of understanding for them. Their accountability was reduced. However, if they did what they did consciously, then they had better hoisted that Montenegrin flag in front of some medicines factory”, said Knežević.
According to Knežević, the most scandalous part is the fact that Abazović admitted that Taiwanese people had covered their travel costs.
“Such “donation method” of Taiwanese people is already well known in Balkans. They gave several million EUR to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia so that his country recognizes the inalienable part of China as independent”, said Knežević.
