Krivokapić’s attitude toward Đukanović’s request has shifted

Zdravko Krivokapić

In only two days, Prime Minister, Mr Zdravko Krivokapić, managed to deny his own claims. On 2 January, he said that the President of Montenegro, Mr Milo Đikanović, had violated the Constitution of Montenegro by demanding re-examination of several laws, and only two days later, Mr Krivokapić denied his own allegations.

On 2 January, PM Krivokapić tweeted: Mr Đukanović doesn’t commit to a peaceful transfer of power in Montenegro and continues to treat Montenegro as his possessions. Apart from violating the Constitution and laws of this country, he’s playing with citizens, their property and rights arising from the Constitution.

However, on 4 January, in a statement for RTNK, the PM told: The decision of the President of Montenegro, Mr Milo Đukanović, to demand re-examination of the Freedom of Religion Law, passed by the Parliament of Montenegro, is in line with the Constitution.

It may be that the PM has meanwhile read about the constitutional authorizations of the President of Montenegro and changed his views in only 2 days, which is not the first time.
