Luxair to start flying to Podgorica and Tivat

The national airline of Luxembourg, Luxair, will start flying to Podgorica this February, and plans to expand operations over the coming year. The company stresses that flights to Podgorica and Tivat will be their priority in 2021, the specialized ExYu Aviation news portal reported.

This airline has upgraded its service to Podgorica to year-round operations, and is going to introduce seasonal summer flights to Tivat as well.

Based on current plans, Luxair will inaugurate services to Podgorica on February 12 with two weekly flights, each Monday and Friday, with the 76-seat Dash 8 turboprop aircraft.

Luxair will also inaugurate seasonal summer flights to Tivat starting May 15. Flights will run once per week, each Saturday, with the 141-seat Boeing 737-700 jet.

This is the first time Luxembourg’s national carrier will fly to Montenegro and the first time the two countries have been linked with a scheduled air service.
