A man lost wallet with €7.750 in it, a restaurant owner found it and returned

The co-owner of the Sevdah tavern near the Ulcinj branch office of CEDIS, Sacir Bejtovic (40) found a wallet with €7,750 in it in his restaurant and returned it to the owner. In return, the man who came back to the tavern terrified, pale and sweaty, left €20 at the bar to treat other guests with drinks, Vijesti writes.

Bejtovic says that he did not hesitate, although no one at the restaurant noticed that one of the two guests, who had been drinking coffee at about 9am dropped the wallet.

“There were those two men in the restaurant, and one more guest who was having his beer at the bar. My wife was in the kitchen. When they paid the bill, they left and I went to clean up the table. Then I saw the wallet on a chair. I took it, opened it to see if there were any documents and saw a bunch of money. I counted exactly €7,750,” said Bejtovic who called the guest to come back to take his wallet.
