Importance for the program of mobility, aimed at the improvement of students and academic staff, is almost immeasurable, and the Ministry of Education says that possibilities are enormous. Scholarships, that is, study stays within the mobility program in which Montenegro takes part are given to 230 Montenegrin students every year. Scholarships of foreign governments are given to 90 students.

“We want to emphasize the importance of the program of academic mobility, while hoping that more and more students will get the opportunity to spend part of their schooling in one of the recognized high-education institutions abroad”, said Nada Vuksanović, coordinator for the CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) mobility program.

CEEPUS program, as the most important multilateral program, is coordinated and managed by the Ministry of Education. Vuksanović explains that CEEPUS program, as well as bilateral mobility programs, offer Montenegrin students possibility to spend one or two terms in one of the universities in the country which is the member of the cooperation program. That would be a chance for young researchers to take part in joint scientific and research projects. In addition, competitions for scholarships of foreign governments are called on a regular basis. Application documentation is delivered to the Ministry of Education. The Ministry then checks the fulfillment of requirements and accuracy of the delivered documents and then the mixed commissions are formed. Scholarships for the entire cycle of studies are awarded by China, Turkey, Russian Federation, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Romania, Japan… These scholarships include preparation year for learning the language of the country where the lecturing takes place.
