Marković: Government will invest €100 million in Pljevlja

Session of the Government of Montenegro was held in Pljevlja today. Prime Minister, Mr Duško Marković, announced after the session that projects worth €100 million would be implemented in this municipality.

Rehabilitation of Maljevac landfill will be completed (€3,2 million), tailings dams of Šuplja Stijena mine (€7,8 million) and ecological reconstruction of Thermal Power Plant Pljevlja, an investment worth €54 milion. Several millions will be invested in the arrangement of several roads.

Mr Marković said that Government’s session was held right in Pljevlja in order to render development decisions important for residents of Pljevlja and in order to initiate process of the elimination of negative environmental effects.

“Today, this Government wants to convey an important message – our commitment to sustainable development that involves responsibility towards our environment and valuing resources in accordance with highest ecological standards –that’s our goal”, said PM.

PM touched on the health protection quality and said that it could be higher not only in Pljevlja but in entire Montenegro.
