Marković hopes that Pope Francis will soon come to visit Montenegro

Secretary of State of the Holy See, right hand of Pope Francis, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, arrived to Montenegro. This is historical visit and, as Prime Minister Duško Marković pointed out, it is a signal that the Pope himself will soon come to visit us too.

Duško Marković welcomed in Podgorica the first man of the executive power of Vatican and after they talked to one another, they concluded that relations between Montenegro and Holy See are very good.

“Montenegro welcomed the historical visit of the Cardinal Pietro Parolin. We are sure that his visit and the conversations we had today will lead to stronger cooperation and understanding. We also hope that, in near future, we will have the opportunity to host His Holiness, the Pope Francis”, said Marković.

Official talks of the highest official representatives of Montenegro and Holy See will be a great opportunity for deepening already great bilateral relations which share fundamental civilization values of peace and justice.

On Friday, Cardinal Parolin will serve Masses in the Cathedral of St.Peter in Bar and in the Cathedral of St.Tryphon in Kotor.
