Markovic-Kemp: British investors interested in Montenegro

The fact that British investors are increasingly interested in Montenegro has come as a result of the significant achievements of Montenegro this year, such as encouraging results in fiscal consolidation, PM Dusko Markovic and British ambassador Alison Kemp agreed.

At today’s meeting Markovic and Kemp discussed intensifying bilateral co-operation between the two countries.

“They agreed that the growing interest of British investors in Montenegro has come as a result of the significant achievements Montenegro has made – from membership in NATO, through an intensive EU membership negotiation process, to encouraging results the government has reached in the fiscal consolidation,” the government PR service stated.

Kemp said that the British government approved the financing of a project that should contribute to better communication between the government and the ministries with the public. Relevant British institutions will participate in preparation of the project.

“The officials also discussed continuing cooperation in the fight against organized crime, as well as strengthening capacities and infrastructure in the field of protection against cyber attacks,” the government stated.
