Montenegro widely recognized as a reliable partner

Montenegro Prime Minister Duško Marković expressed delight at the outcomes of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly and speeches of the representatives of Montenegrin delegation, adding that the key conclusion of all talks was that Montenegro has been widely recognized as a reliable member of the United Nations, as such contributing to common peace and stability.

PM Marković said: “I feel that Montenegro this week clearly and unequivocally confirmed it will remain committed to promoting the UN core principles and values – peace and stability. Therefore, Montenegro has been recognized as the country promoting peace, stability, solidarity and common values,” said Marković, adding that those were the first remarks by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and President-elect of the 73rd session Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces.

Marković even managed to meet with the US president Donald Trump, revealing that Trump used the opportunity to say he saw Montenegro as a sincere partner and that the two countries should remain committed to fostering their partnership.
