Marković: The Government is committed to the development of the North

President of the Government of Montenegro, Mr Duško Marković, said to the municipal management in Rožaje that the Government was committed to the implementation of development projects which represented new incentive to our economy. The Government is particularly devoted to the development of the Northern region, but the local government must find solutions to the challenges it faces, PM pointed out.

“There’s no progress without development projects. We have been invested huge amounts of money into development projects for two years. Northern part of the country is our main focus”, said PM and draw attention to the problem of irregular salaries of the employees in local administration and public enterprises.

Vice President of the Government, Mr Rafet Husović, asked the municipal management to put forward a motion to the Government proposing the model of overcoming current situation, while adding that the joint objective should be regular monthly salaries.

They also discussed new projects that are supposed to contribute to creating conditions for business development. Mr Husović called on the local administration to initiate new projects and engage external experts in order to make the use of the resources faster and more efficient.

PM visited works on the town market.

Facility worth €900.000, with 1.370 square meters will have a green market on the ground level, a mall and a restaurant on and offices on the second floor. Construction works roof construction have been completed. It’s one of the capital investments of the Government of Montenegro in Rožaje and it will provide the highest sanitary and other conditions for safe fruit and vegetable sale, as well as dairy and meat products sale.
