Medenica re-appointed as President of Montenegro’s Supreme Court

Vesna Medenica has been re-appointed as the President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro at today’s session of the Judicial Council. She was the only candidate who applied to this function and was unanimously elected by the Judicial Council members.

“Pursuant to the amendment VII to the Constitution of Montenegro and the legally conducted selection procedure, the Judicial Council, at its session held today, unanimously made a decision to appoint Ms Vesna Medenica as the President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, after it [Judicial Council] considered the proposal of the General Session of the Supreme Court, programme of work of the candidate and after the conducted interview,” the Judicial Council said in a brief statement.
