After he visited the construction site on the priority Bar-Boljare highway section, Prime Minister Duško Marković expressed delight at works done so far and required additional efforts of all members involved in this project. He emphasized that there are enough funds for highway construction thanks to the govt’s successful economic policy.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the government (investor), China’s CRBC company (contractor), Monteput Ltd., State Audit Commission and the French-Italian consortium Conseil & Ingenierie-geodata Engineering (supervisory body).
“The meeting concluded that works have been performed in a quality manner despite the initial delays (in the beginning of 2016). It is also assumed that it’s necessary to put in a great deal of effort, accelerate the implementation of the project and cut deadlines whenever possible. Also, projects referring to electricity&water supply on the highway and the Smokovac lane need to finalize ASAP,” the Government reported.
PM Marković was pleased about work dynamics at the construction site and underlined that there is enough money in the budget for highway construction: “Today I could witness intensive works which are being performed on such a huge construction project in Montenegro. This is my third visit to the site, thus showing my support to contractor to finalize the project within determined deadline,” said PM Marković during his visit to highway construction site.
He expressed great delight at the fact that Montenegrin Bemax Company, which is a sub-contractor in the project, managed to meet the highest standards.
“I would like to say massive congratulations to Bemax Company for successfully performing works on the construction site. This project reveals our companies may be competitive at the regional and European market as well. Congratulations to you and CRBC on successful completion of tasks,” concluded PM Marković.
Montenegrin transport and maritime affairs minister Osman Nurković and ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to MNE Cui Zhiwei also visited the construction site today.
