Montenegrin healthcare system soon to get new Emergency center

Podgorica and Montenegro are to get new Emergency Center unit – extremely important project for the entire healthcare system in Montenegro.  The project is worth between €15,5 and €16 million, said DR Jevto Eraković, Director of the Clinical Center of Montenegro.

Five floors, two intensive care units, 100 beds…

Dr Eraković has provided data on the new project.

“The new emergency center will be connected to the building of the Clinical Center. It will probably have five floors, two underground. It will have special, diagnostic part and its operational block with five operating rooms. It will also have its sterilization, two intensive care units, one surgery intensive care unit, one internal”, Dr Eraković pointed out.

One of priority projects

Director of the Clinical Center pointed out that a detailed urban plan had been adopted. The funds were provided by the Government and Ministry of Finance.

As far as technical details are concerned, De Eraković explained that documentation for tendering for the project and conceptual design was under preparation.

It has been emphasized again that this is one of the priority projects.
