Minister of European Affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic believes that Montenegro is one of the first countries to fully define the response to all 17 goals of sustainable development.
Identification of synergies between two strong development processes of Montenegro – accession to the European Union and implementation of 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda was the central theme of the two-day meeting organized by the Ministry of European Affairs and the United Nations system in Montenegro.
He pointed out the clear connection between the negotiation process and the achievement of the goals of sustainable development.
“The goal is that accession negotiations are not just a race against time, but taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals, to prepare Montenegro to be a member of the EU in a thorough way,” said Pejovic.
