Montenegro and Azerbaijan strive to improve relations

Parliamentary diplomacy and activities of the Friendship Group of Azerbaijan and Montenegro open space for additional improvement of political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries. These were the conclusions of the meeting of the Montenegrin parliament speaker, Ivan Brajović, and Azerbaijan national assembly speaker, Ogtay Asadov.

“Good business environment for Azerbaijan investors in Montenegro, as well successful projects in tourism and logistics promote the two countries in the best possible way and therefore create conditions for implementation of new projects, such as the Ionic-Adriatic Pipeline project, which would run through Montenegro,” said Asadov.

Topics referring to the cooperation with Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation and the upcoming World Business Forum which hosts high officials of our country were discussed with the prime minister of Azerbaijan, Artur Rasizade. Azerbaijan PM told he expects the two countries to create formal prerequisites for intensifying foreign exchange market and upgrading the overall economic and cultural relations to a higher level.

Commenting on their visit to Azerbaijan, Montenegro parliament speaker, Ivan Brajović, told a friendly attitude was obvious during all the meetings, as well as willingness to develop new joint projects in various fields.
