Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Srđan Darmanović, met today with the delegation of the Committee on Foreign Policy of the National Assembly of Slovenia. President of that Committee, Mr Matjaž Nemec, said that Montenegro deserved EU membership.
Mr Darmanović thanked Slovenia for its solid support and overall contribution to acquiring full-fledged NATO membership.
He expressed satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation and intense political contacts that two countries enjoyed.
Mr Nemec praised Montenegro’s progress in the European integration process.
“Montenegro really deserves EU membership. It is necessary to present achieved results as clearly as possible”, said Mr Nemec.
He said that official Ljubljana would continue to actively promote enlargement policy, which is crucial for the stability of the region and the EU itself.
