Montenegro made the fastest progress towards the EU

During the forthcoming six month-long presidency of Romania of the Council of the European Union, it is necessary to use all the resources of parliamentary diplomacy, in the interest of the progress of Montenegro and WB, agreed the President of the Parliament Ivan Brajović and presidents of both houses of Romanian Parliament, Nikolae Dragnea and  Călin Tăriceanu.

Brajović said that he expected our country to open last negotiating chapter, chapter 8 in the first half of 2019, during Romania’s presidency of the Council of he EU.

In the conversation with the president of the Representation House of Romania, they talked about the possibilities of intensifying cooperation in the domain of energy, education, tourism and culture.

“Montenegro has made most steps and made the fastest progress towards the EU. Romania will give it its support on that way”, said Tăriceanu.

He offered their support by sharing European experiences of Romania so that our country can use its development potentials in the best possible way.
