Montenegro receives €506 million of FDI

Total FDI inflow in nine months of this year reached €506.8 million, while the outflow was €161.4 million.

Net FDI inflow, i.e. difference between the inflow and outflow totalled €345.4 million in September, by 52.2% higher than in the same period last year.

“Total FDI inflow fell by 14.4% in relation to the comparative period, which is the result of the decline in equity investments”, CB bulletin states.

A total of €19.7 million went out of the country on the ground of residents’ investment, while withdrawals of non-residents in Montenegro totaled €141.7 million.

“Inflow of FDI in the form of equity investments was €164.3 million, which accounts for 32.4% of total. A total of €72.4 million was invested in real estate and €91.9 million in companies and banks”.

According to CB data, FDI inflow in the form of inter-company debt reached almost €312 million, 32.7% higher than in the same period last year.
