Montenegro sells Tito’s Jadranka yacht

At the cabinet meeting held on Thursday, government decided to sell Tito’s Jadranka yacht for €80,000.

“In the event of failure to sell the Jadranka yacht through public advertisement, the Ministry of Defence is responsible for establishing a committee that will determine the types of metal and other raw materials that can be obtained from the ship, as well as the initial prices of the obtained raw materials, in accordance with market prices and offer the ship for sale as an old yacht,” the government said.

The Jadranka yacht was built for the needs of the President of the SFRY, Josip Broz Tito, in 1977 in a shipyard in Kraljevica, Croatia. It has two diesel MTU engines and could reach maximum speed of 25 knots.

It is 34 metres long. It has 8m beam and 1.5m draft.

Approximately 14 crew members are needed to operate the yacht and serve up to 40 the guests.
