As part of the first official visit of the representatives of the Department for Diaspora to the Republic of Argentina, Montenegro Square was opened on Thursday, March 5, in Rosario, Argentina’s province of Santa Fe.
The Rosario City Council member, Carlos Cardoso, Head of the Department for Diaspora, Predrag Mitrović, President of the Municipality of Bar, Dušan Raičević and Ambassador of Montenegro to Argentina, Srđan Stanković, opened the square.
The opening ceremony of the square, initiated by the Montenegrin community in the province of Santa Fe, was attended by Milica Radojičić as well – independent adviser in the Department for Diaspora.
Having in mind the importance of this direct contact with our diaspora, Mr Mitrović, Mr Stanković and Ms Radojičić, during this first official visit to Argentina and Rosario, met with managers and members of the Montenegrin community from Santa Fe province, and discussed state of affairs in our diaspora on this territory, as well as future activities of this community.
