Montenegro is undertaking quality reform steps on its EU path

The Republic of France strongly supports Montenegro’s reform efforts on its path to EU membership, interior minister Mevludin Nuhodzic and the head of the Continental Europe Department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Florence Mangin agreed at today’s meeting.

Thanks to the good and quality cooperation that France has rendered to our country during the process of joining the NATO, minister Nuhodzic presented the activities that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is carrying out in the fight against organised crime and corruption and other forms of crime, the suppression of illegal migration, terrorism, new normative solutions, as well as the processes arising from Chapter 24, which is administered by the ministry.

Noting the significant progress in the reform processes of our country, Mangin pointed out that France would continue to support Montenegro in the coming period, especially in the area of ​​the rule of law, which is extremely important for the further progress of our country on the EU path.
