NCB brings in tougher measures to curb the epidemic in Montenegro

National Coordination Body adopted today new set of measures aimed to curb the spread of the coronavirus in Montenegro. The measures will be in force in the entire territory. Trade and hospitality facilities will work until 8 pm, intercity traffic will be banned during weekends, and leaving dwelling facilities will be banned from 9 pm to 5 am. All religious rites and gatherings will be held without attendance of believers. New measures will enter into force on Sunday at midnight.

According to Mr Kenan Hrapović, Health Minister, one part of the citizens have neglected the fact that coronavirus is here.

“Citizens go to other towns. That’s an example of personal irresponsibility. I know each one of you has someone who had coronavirus,”, Mr Hrapović said.

He urged citizens to adhere to measures.

“The only matter we must not politicize is the question of life and death. It is high time we understood the situation we are in and start adhering to these quite simple measures,” Mr Hrapović said.
