Nearly 50 criminal police officers lost their jobs

Nearly 50 criminal police officers from several Montenegrin municipalities lost their jobs in one day, because there was no money to hire them, Pobjeda has learnt.

According to Pobjeda’s sources from the Police Directorate, the employment contracts were not extended for 10 criminal police officers in Podgorica, Nikšić and other cities.

Pobjeda’s source warns that the terminated of police officers’ employment undoubtedly leads to more work for their colleagues.

Liberal Party’s MP Andrija Popović has also pointed out that there are problems in the police. Yesterday, while speaking in Parliament about the proposed law on internal affairs, he said that the status of the Ministry of the Interior and the Police Directorate showed a total collapse of the state system.

He added that Minister Sergej Sekulović was not to blame for this, but that such a political and parliamentary environment was created due to having no budget, no public procurement and no public calls.
