Those who threaten this agreement threaten Montenegro’s membership in the European Union and therefore, if it happens, they will have to take full responsibility, said today the head of the DPS caucus, Andrija Nikolic, stating that the party guarantees with its signature that it will respect the agreement and that they will not be the ones to violate it.
Before Nikolic’s presentation, the MPs covered the DPS logo of the Parliament of Montenegro with the national and European Union (EU) flags.
They agreed, on the basis of that agreement, that the Venice Commission mediate in solving the constitutional and political crisis in the country.
Also, according to Nikolic, it was agreed not to raise issues that polarize the Montenegrin public, without a previously established general political consensus.
This means, he said, that this political agreement, made by the Government with the opposition, should guarantee the state a complete focus on European integration, without drawing attention to some topics that can destabilize the integration agenda.
