Montenegro reports 182 new coronavirus cases, 5 more deaths

A further five persons died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from Ulcinj (2), Berane 1, Nikšić 1 and Podgorica 1. In addition, another 182 cases of coronavirus were recorded, with the capital, Podgorica, registering the highest number of confirmed cases – 91. Meanwhile, 235 patients beat the virus. There are currently 3.565 active cases, i.e. 566 infections per 100K people.

“Labs of the Public Health Institute as well as private labs carrying out PCR diagnosis of the coronavirus have pulled 756 samples for PCR testing in the last 24 hours and detected 182 new cases. New cases are from Podgorica 91, Bar 30, Nikšić 22, Kotor 14, Cetinje 9, Bijelo Polje 5, Tivat 5, Berane 2, Ulcinj 2, Žabljak 1 and Danilovgrad 1,” the Institute stated.

Data show there have now been 266 coronavirus-related deaths in MNE from early June, i.e. 275 since the pandemic started in March.
